A korean dipping sauce that goes great with Korean grilled meat dishes, or simply with a tray of veggies cut into sticks (eg; cucumbers, peppers, carrots)

- 1/4 cup doenjang (fermented soybean paste) [1][1]
- 1 tbs gochujang (hot pepper paste) [2][2]
- 1 stalk of minced green onion
- 2 cloves of minced garlic
- 1/3 cup chopped onion (preferably sweet, like purple, white, or shallots!)
- 3 ts honey or maple syrup
- 2 ts toasted sesame seeds
- 1 ts toasted sesame oil
[1]: If you can't source doenjang locally, use miso paste (the darker the better), though depending on the miso's flavor you may need to adjust the other ingredients to taste [2]: If you can't source gochujang, here's a recipe - also courtesy of Maangchi!
- Mix it all together in a bowl and serve with veggie sticks or with a grilled Korean meat dish such as Galbi!
