YAK is a small 64-bit operating system, built from scratch just for fun and educational purposes. Here is an overview of the current features:
- boots from a FAT32 formatted USB key using a custom bootloader
- supports high resolution graphics via VESA Bios Extensions (VBE)
- multiprocessor support
- 64-bit kernel
