As my regular workflow consists of just scanning new documents (sent from the scanner to a NAS folder, where paperless picks it up) and then storing the documents in a box, it would be helpful if an alert email could be sent if the consume task somehow failed1. I rarely check the admin page and only index new documents once every two weeks or so. Finding the one documents that did get imported into paperless is quite the PITA.
Is it somehow possible to alert the user (preferably via email) about the failed task?
Footnotes
Sometimes, my scanner apparently takes longer to store the file and when paperless tries to pick it up in the meantime, it (once in a while) gets corrupted. ↩
