Release Checklist

0. Make sure version information is updated in php_solr_version.h and package.xml

1. Checkout release candidate source code from SVN, then compile and install.

svn co http://svn.php.net/repository/pecl/solr/trunk pecl-solr

cd pecl-solr

phpize 

./configure

make 

make install

Adjust the php.ini files as needed

2. Make sure to compile and run make test for both debug and ZTS/non-ZTS modes in target php versions.

3. If successful, document all the changes in the package.xml file and also in the php documentation and then create an svn tag

svn copy  http://svn.php.net/repository/pecl/solr/trunk  http://svn.php.net/repository/pecl/solr/tags/release_A_B_C

4. Create the release tarball

pear package

5. Upload the tarball to PECL
