@AShortcuts Please upgrade to v2026.2.1 which should fix the described problem. This was most likely cause by folder permission issues, when selecting a custom output folder. |

What happened?
I'm running BetterCapture v2026.2 (not selectable as an option here on github when writing this bug report).
The issue occured when trying to record my screen either through using the new select area or the previous window record.
I would select the area or window and then press on 'Start Record' in the menubar popup. The click closed the menubar but did not activate the recording and when pressing the menubar icon again, I saw the same green 'Start recording' option. However, after pressing the 'Start record' button the first time, the rectangular outline shown after selecting the area disappeared.
What did you expect to happen?
The recording of the area on my screen
