System audio not recorded - maybe because 3rd party apps

What happened?

System audio isn't recorded, maybe due to using BetterDisplay.
It would be nice to have a source for the system audio, and it could may solve the ongoing issue.

Thanks for reporting this. Could you give it a try with BetterDisplay disabled and let it me know whether it's caused by that application?

Thanks for your quick reply. I just realized it's not BetterDisplay. It's working well; the issue is that when I select an app to record, like Arc, it only records the system sound from Arc. It would be helpful to have an option to record system audio outside of the app we're using to capture the video.

I need to check, but I think this is a (security) limitation of ScreenCaptureKit. I'm pretty sure they don't allow recording of applications/windows that were not shared/selected to be recorded.

I will close this for now as the behavior is intended as is and a security limitation of screencapturekit.
