🐞 Intermittent screen and audio recording issues (feedback + improvement suggestions)

👍 Positive feedback

First of all, congratulations on the app.
It is very lightweight, runs smoothly on macOS, and the video file size is impressively small, even after recording. Overall, the experience is great and the idea behind the app is excellent.

❗ Issues found during testing

While doing some real-world tests, I noticed a few issues that can impact daily usage:

Recording stops unexpectedly

In some cases, the recording stops by itself while still in progress.

There is no warning, alert, or error message.

Sometimes, the file is not saved at all, resulting in a complete loss of the recording.

Audio recording problems

In some recordings, the audio is not captured correctly.

The recorded sound is distorted, similar to a “grunt” or noise, instead of the actual voice.

In other cases, the audio does not record at all.

Voice Isolation

While the app is recording, the Voice Isolation option does not appear in macOS microphone permissions/options (as it does with other apps).

This is especially important for recordings in noisy environments.

I would like to ask:

Are these issues already known?

Is there any plan to fix:

Recordings stopping without notice

Audio capture failures

Missing voice isolation support?

Is there any recommended workaround or configuration for now?

Once again, great job on the app. It’s very promising, and with these improvements it would be excellent for professional use.

Thanks for providing feedback. I will convert this issue into a discussion as it addresses too many things at once. I will follow up on the mentioned issues though.
