+- [ ] Start a discussion with the EC:  Post an issue on [Team Compass for Governance](https://executive-council-team-compass.readthedocs.io/en/latest/) or attend EC office hours (find join details on the community calendar). Here are some topics to consider [pending link].
+- [ ] Request a folder in shared drive for all official documents 
+- [ ] Find at least two founding members or start a committee to start a charter draft and agree to synchronous or asynchronous process for writing committee charter
+- [ ] Create charter (see template)
+- [ ] Submit charter for review in the governance repo under the charter directory.
+  - [ ] Open the pull request as a draft and let the EC and SSC know that you’re ready for review
