Expanded variables are not removed from screen when variable is removed in drop-down list

If a user is exploring the visualization and has a particular variable expanded (i.e. Cesarean delivery), and then goes to the variable list and removes this variable, the expanded view is still on the screen when you leave the variable selection. However, the timeline arrow is not longer on the visualization, and when you click out of the expanded view, the variable disappears.

Logically, it would make sense if the view could also disappear when you remove the variable using the drop-down selection.

This is a low-priority, but something that would be nice to have.
