All the Apple created Tahoe breakage #9463
Description
This is a single issue to track all the breakage Apple did in macOS Tahoe.
Worked around issues:
- Apple started launching a weird hidden AutoFill helper process that does not quit on exit [macOS] Process 'AutoFill' did not close when Kitty quitted #9299
- Apple broke fork-without-exec for even simple executables that don't use apple specific APIs MacOS: opening kitten-quick-access with --detach flag spikes CPU #9288
- Crashing bug in OpenGL driver with full screen windows on return from sleep and external monitor disconnect Kitty crashes on macOS Tahoe when full screen and when reconnecting monitor #8983
- Apple create an invisible window that sticks around after the actual NSWindow is closed Window fails to fully close on MacOS 26 (Tahoe) #8952
Still present, but not reproducible:
kitty going blank after some time/sleep/unclear circumstances #9283 #9407 #9434
This last issue needs a clear set of steps for me to be able to reproduce it or
someone who can reproduce to contribute a PR. A clear set of steps would be
something like:
- Minimal kitty.conf
- Does it need an external monitor connected
- A clear and preferably short set of steps which when followed cause the issue
