I've downloaded and installed the stand-alone, set a password via password.exe, run playify-transfer.exe as an administrator, created an app password in my google account. When I open the spotify link, it takes me to the playify app where I click 'transfer' and I'm prompted to fill in that info. I put my password.exe pass into the first field, then my google email, then my app password. The modal disappears and comes right back with no error. No playlist is created.

Did you fill in the field "Playify password"? You will need to enter the password you have set using password.exe. You do not have to use your Google password in password.exe, you simply set a password so only you can access Playify Transfer and no malicious software.
