DescriptionI experienced that from time to time some of the nodes are getting unavailable over ssh. I have a fixed ip and I also tried it with turning off the Hetzner firewall but it's still not working.
I looked into the Hetzner terminal log and saw that there is invalid cloud-config provided. `Found cloud-config data types: user-data, vendor-data
Can this be the issue? Side question: Since I can't ssh into the first cp now and the script stopped working because of this. Is there any option to replace the first cp node? Thanks for your help <3 Kube.tf filelocals {

@Mammut-Felix Interesting, the only thing that comes to mind is that your base image are older and do not have semanage installed.
By following these steps, you should be able to replace the nodes effectively. Each step is crucial for maintaining cluster stability and ensuring a smooth transition to the updated nodes. In my own testing, the method above worked. But maybe make a full cluster backup first, enhance the first step of doing an etcd backup. There is also a vmware tool called Velero that you can use to make cluster backups. |

@Mammut-Felix What version of the linux kernel are you running on the nodes? I have very similar issues (had them more on 6.6.6 but now also happening on 6.6.11). Also, does it ever happen on x86 nodes? I only use ARM nodes in my cluster, but in a second cluster I work on I didn't notice that issue and there only control planes are ARM and workers and amd64. |

@Mammut-Felix Do you use Longhorn RWX or any other NFS server on the cluster? After I removed all of my NFS volumes (but still have a RWX samba volume) all of the issues went away... So it might be related to Longhorn or NFS in general. |
