I have external-dns in one account and want to update Route53 public records in another account but flag aws-assume-role is not getting picked up. I am deploying it using terraform resource helm_release as below. Another flag domainFilters is getting picked up fine.
resource "helm_release" "external_dns" {
count = local.addons.external_dns_enabled ? 1 : 0
chart = "external-dns"
name = "external-dns"
namespace = "external-dns"
repository = "https://kubernetes-sigs.github.io/external-dns"
recreate_pods = true
version = var.addons["external-dns"].version
values = [
templatefile("${path.module}/helm_values_templates/external_dns.yaml.tmpl", {
iam_role_external_dns_arn = aws_iam_role.external_dns[0].arn
eks_cluster_name = aws_eks_cluster.eks_cluster.name
})
]
set_list {
name = "domainFilters"
value = var.external_dns_zone_domain_filters
}
set {
name = "AWSAssumeRole"
value = var.external_dns_zone_domain_filters
}
}
Passing dns version value as below:
"external-dns" : {
"version" : "1.5.0",
}
