SUMMARY

After merging #119 the inventory plugin of this collection supports source caching which helps to reduce the load on the control plane of K8S clusters when running the inventory.

To further improve the support of caching in the inventory the plugin should cache its results in way that is interoperable with fact caching in Ansible. To implement caching in this way proper documentation on the Ansible side is needed first to show how it is implemented correctly.

See Cache plugins, Developing dynamic inventory and ansible/ansible-documentation#1689.
