What is check_temper?
=====================

This plugin for Icinga/Nagios is used to monitor temperature and humidity
with TEMPer humi thermometers.

Installation
============

The check_io installation can be used by following the standard autotools
installation process, documented in the INSTALL file. As a quick start you can do

$ ./configure
$ make all
# make install

This will install check_io to /usr/local/nagios/libexec.

To change these paths use the following options:
--prefix=<path_to_nagios_plugins>

To change the user and group ownership of these files use:
--with-nagios-user=<user>
--with-nagios-group=<group>

The 'nagios-plugins-temper.spec' file demonstrates how to distribute check_temper
as an RPM package.

Also make sure that the following requirements are met:

bc
temperd

The following checks can be performed by this plugin:

* Humidity check with:
- critical if humidity is lower then 30% or higher then 60%
- warning if humidity is lower then 35% or higher then 55%
- ok if humidity is between 35% and 55%

check_temper -w 35:55 -c 30:60 -C hum


* Temperature with:
- critical if temperature is lower then 20° or higher then 30°
- warning if temperature is lower then 22° or higher then 28°
- ok if temperature is between 22° and 28°

check_temper -w 22:28 -c 20:30 -C temp
