Thank you very much for update.
Sorry, I've been very busy at the end of the year.
I'll test it and let you know soon.
Thanks
Mr.X

… Mr.X, new updates (GUI and scanner firmware) are out with improved flash
chip detector feature.
Select chip type manually if detector still doesn't work. GUI won't try to
detect it.
Putting flash memory chips in tandem can have its own consequences that
this scanner is not prepared for.

I already tried to use tis memory, but will try again after “pumping up” a little bit discharged battery. I noticed read errors when charger is connected, probably caused by the noise from SMPS.
Thank You Daniel,
Arek

Subject: Re: [laszlodaniel/ChryslerScanner] Flash memory chip support (Discussion #8)
Hello Arek, we established early in this year that Flash ID won't work with TMS flash chips.
Suggestion: when flash chip is selected by hand, the GUI won't try to identify it and the GUI moves to the next steps.
Since total memory size is 256 kB and erase/program algorithm is same that of 128 kB variant (TMS28F010), you can go ahead and select "TMS28F210 (256 kB)" chip.
Follow these exact steps:
1. Connect scanner to OBD2 port and make sure it's fresh out of reset state.
2. Start GUI fresh and connect to scanner.
3. Verify/Apply proper SCI-bus settings (OBD-config A or B).
4. Open "Tools / Bootstrap tools" menu.
5. Select "JTEC (256 kB)" bootloader.
6. Click on Bootstrap button and follow instructions.
7. Select "TMS28F210 (256 kB)" flash chip.
8. Keep "flash backup" checkbox on, if you don't have backup of the flash chip.
9. Click on flash Browse button and select new flash file.
10. Click on flash Write button.
11. "Are you sure you want to continue?" -> Yes.
12. "Do you want to use selected flash chip?" -> Yes.
13. Wait for tasks to finish.
I suspect there are multiple bootloaders for JTEC units, based on internal architecture, and this one in the GUI is not good enough.
Let me know if you still have issues, and I will try following up with another bootloader.

hi Laszlo I need your help,My dad has a PT Cruiser car, the computer broke more than a year ago, several technicians tried to fix it and nothing. I decided to take a look and when I saw the PCB board it turns out that they tried to do a reballing and I think some components were damaged. Do you know where I can get a schematic diagram of the pcb? I've been searching for a year and nothing, I hope you know something about it. thanks |

Hi, Daniel!
Hope you're well.
Could you please explain if I can do a camshaft position sensor
synchronisation by your Chrysler scanner?
Albert

Hi Daniel!
Thanks for the quick response.
What does this field stand for?

In the end of this video it is demonstrated how to set Camshaft
Synchronizer on a Jeep 4.0L using a Scan Tool (from 17th minute):
https://youtu.be/igsJU7SnAxU?si=FZmRZHeY28wmpjHF
He checks for degree that Camshaft Synchronizer doesn't match the
Crankshaft and then rotates the Synchronizer to reach near Zero position:
![sync](https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/1b1a2625-b116-4458-9c67-cf66daeec424)
As you can see the Camshaft signal might be not aligned with the Crank:

![image (3)](https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/97fbac13-9724-4e3e-aedf-f063a5308152)
So it would be great if we could do this using your Chrysler Scanner.

… Hi Albert, yes, normally this is done by SCI 23 06 with an F0 response,
but I noticed that JTEC/JTEC+ skips this parameter.
There is another one, SCI 23 0B, that involves cam and crank sensor
reference:

This writes 00 to SCI 28 00 0F EEPROM offset. I'm not sure if the effect
is the same, so backup this value just in case.

The V2 scanner supports only a handful of commonly used flash memory chips. Copy/paste the manufacturer and chip ID bytes from the log window/file to this thread if you encounter an unknown chip.
