I noticed that there is a instant motion event trigger. This is very usefel, but first I want to ask if it will cost more battery?

Sencond, I want to turn on light after staying for 2 senconds, so I must use the instant motion event trigger, then check the state after 2 seconds. However, I don't know how to check.

Can anyone help?
