In the LSLGA (Hyperleda + DR8 model) layers we report a position angle which is rotated by 90 degrees relative to what we report in the parent catalog(s) here and here.
We do this so we can render the correct ellipse using PIL, but it's confusing because it's yet another position angle definition. So we should just do the rotation on-the-fly when render the ellipse.
