Some Subnautica mods don't work when deployed via Hard Link or Sym Link, but do work when deployed via Copy #258

Description

@SHEERSPECTOR

When I deploy Nautilus v1.0.0-pre.49 using a Case Matching Deployer with either Hard Link or Sym Link as the deployment method, the game fails to load the file.

BepInEx reports an error when attempting to load the file.

[Error : BepInEx] Error loading [Nautilus 1.0.0.49] :

When the file is instead deployed using a Copy, the game is able to load Nautilus.

[Info : BepInEx] Loading [Nautilus 1.0.0.49]
[Info : Console] [Nautilus/Debug] [Nautilus] [NautilusConfig] Found 4 options to add to the menu.

Other mods do work when deployed via Sym Link or Hard Link.
When I manually copied Nautilus and deployed other mods, the game detected all of them.

Environment

  • CachyOS x64
  • Linux 6.19.5-3-cachyos
  • btrfs filesystem
  • Staging directory and game directory are on the same drive
  • Limo Flatpak
  • Steam installed natively

Limo configuration

  • BepInEx was installed manually to create directory structure
  • A single "plugins" deployer handles additional mods

Sym Link and Hard Link Deployment

  • Files appear in my file manager
  • They report the correct sizes
  • The directory structure looks correct
