Since there is already Musicbrainz integration, would it be possible to get Liztenbrainz support for listening history?

Yes it should be possible as far as I know. Once the issues start to calm down and I can stop working on bug fixes I will be looking into giving users the options to use last.fm or listenbrainz for scrobble history.
