Works with Saturn S

Hello, a quick note from someone who has set Mariner up (along with Samba) for a Saturn S.
A few notes for others trying this:

1. Using a RpiZero had to install buster because mariner seemed not to play nicely with Python3.9 (looks like some install script stuff, at least assumes python3.7 and calls it out by name)
2. As others have experiences, the ctb files generated by 1.9.2 of the chitubox slicer cause a 500 error in the mariner "Files" section.
3. USB filesystem works fine via Samba.
4. When attempting to print "incompatible files" (those created with 1.8.1) errors for incompatible files were not handled gracefully by mariner (meaning, the errors were not interpreted and just resulted in a stack dump)
5. Using firmware 4.5.0 on the Saturn S

Hi there. Good to know there's at least some functionality for the Saturn S. I just got that one. How are you able to send files/start a print if Mariner throws an error with file management? Sorry, very green on this kind of stuff.

I own a Saturn S and I am running Mariner3d. I have used different branches of Mariner3d and none have worked 100%. Some can not parse the new chitu version files CTB v4. I have been able to upload via smba but never start a file or see print times as others with mars machines have been able to. I am pretty much exactly as the OP stated in their post with the exception I am running rasbian bullseye and installed Python 3.7.4 so mariner3d would run.

Well, hopefully, someone solves this soon. I literally wore out the USB port in my last printer after only a couple of years. Started with cracked solder from all the inserts and removals, then, eventually got worse, to the point where I had it open on my bench more often than it was running.

I'm considering trying this with my Saturn S. I know I won't have full functionality yet, but even if I have to use the touch screen to start prints, it will be a huge improvement.

Is that picture a stock board or did you solder the pins on?
