Create a prototype of elements in the database

At this point we're not exactly sure what database format we're going to use to track elements we will create or fork in the UI, so we will start to make some prototypes to see what we like.

@keywizzle and I will each start to prototype a concept where we open an element, and edit it. Maybe we can also fork it, etc.
