Ability to Add an .editorconfig from templates

I would be very useful to be able to add an .editorconfig from a list of templates.

For example, i often want to have different .editorconfigs depending on the project: 1 for web, 1 for test, one for migration, etc. to override the default behavior. The Add.... .editorconfig file could be enhanced to show the various

Not sure if the extension should manage/store the templates or not (although that would be cool, especially if they can be edited just like a normal .editorconfig), or just point to a directory that contains different .editorconfigs.
