Is there a way to use TailwindCSS classes directly inside the React components?

As I can see the tailwind.config.js file is only looking into *.module.css files and extracts classes from composes <CLASS> from global patterns.

When I am overwriting a component from @magento/venia-ui I want to use TailwindCSS classes directly inside the component and not inside a *.module.css file. This way I am hopping to get auto-complete and intelliSense back.

I appreciate it if anyone could share their experience on this.
