Feit Electric E26 ST21 Dimmable Color Changing Spiral Filament Almost Works

This product almost works with the generic rgbw light:

The issue I'm having is that if I do any service calls for any colors when it was last on white mode it fails with an unknown error.
Same in reverse, if I try to call white mode from when I was using a color it fails with an unknown error.
Manual controls from the HA lovelace work fine.
I had this working with Local Tuya but I changed Wifi Networks and I wanted to get this working with TL.
(I can't get it working again with Local Tuya because I don't remember all the complicated settings.)

It may be a simple fix, but it would need the log messages with stack traces rather than just a high level description to debug.

Is that only don't through automations?
I use Node-Red but I remember seeing it when it came out, usually I use the dev tools to test out what I need.
I'll try to get logs again but I looked a bit and it didn't seem overly helpful.

A lot of Tuya bulbs only support brightness down to 10% (as in this bulb) or 5% or 1%. It seems most other lightbulb integrations shift their brightness values to make 0% correspond to the lower limit, and there are new helpers in Home Assistant 2024.1 to provide a standard way of handling brightness, so I think the way forward will be to implement #1444 to avoid this sort of error.

Yeah, when I raised the brightness it turned on as white and wouldn’t respond to color names or rgbw commands. If I press a color from Lovelace ui the commands start working.

This is possibly a different bug, with its own stack trace that would show where it is coming from.

The stack traces I sent you were attempted color commands, not just brightness commands.

ok I think I get what you mean. If I do light turn on service, call the color, then another light turn on service and set the brightness it works.
Maybe it will be addressed with the scaling change.
