The section 'recent site disturbances' currently has a soft upper limit of one year, suggested by the categories in Table 10.6. I considered a '5 years' option but that seems to be stretching the definition of 'recent'.
The more detailed erosion/deposition options in sections in 11.7/11.8 currently have an undefined timeframe, so they can describe the impact of older events.
Soil judging convention asks participants to consider erosion and deposition events likely to have occurred within the previous decade.
Should timeframes for 10.6, 11.7 and 11.8 be hardened to 1 year / 10 years / 10 years? Or other ranges?
Should more detailed/longer term assessment options be added for the other 'recent site disturbances', e.g. fire, windthrow?
