Describe the feature

Seeking the song back or forward by pressing on timestamps instead of holding down previous and next buttons.

Why is this feature important?

Seeking the song by holding down previous and next song button is painful right now. Because it's not accurate. You have the quickly release your touch input to get desired results. It's also more prone to changing the songs.

Alternatives considered

Additional seek buttons can be added, similar to how Musicolet does it:

But it can make UI more cluttered. Using timestamps for seeking is more clever and clean imo. Since they're not on the lower side of screen, they won't cause accidental touches either.

You're right, that's why I haven't added any extra buttons.

Using timestamps for seeking is more clever and clean imo.

I'll try to implement it, I'll let you know if I succeed.

This didn't worked for me. I had double tap set to add/remove from playlist so I tried changing it to Nothing but still failed. Is there any other setting I need to change?

The double-tap on the edges feature is handled in different settings than the regular double-tap. They are located below the common double-tap setting and are configured by default for the function I mentioned earlier.

I don't think so.

It's really strange that you can't see those settings.
