Impact Report: Winter Support - Sustaining Ecovillage Life (WISEL) Project 2023-2024

Overview

The ongoing war has exacerbated humanitarian crises in Ukraine, particularly affecting vulnerable groups such as women, children, the elderly, and IDPs. Building on the experience of previous projects, the WISEL project supports Ukrainian ecovillages in providing essential needs during winter.

Key Achievements

  • Food Distribution:
    • 28 ecovillages received food supplies.
    • Supported 500 residents and IDPs.
    • Collaboration with Ukrainian organic producers.

The WISEL project addresses basic needs in Ukrainian ecovillages during winter amidst conflict, focusing on food, water, energy, and community support.

Food Distribution

  • Products Delivered:
    • Wheat Flour: 2,000 kg
    • Green Buckwheat: 2,500 kg
    • French Lentils: 1,500 kg
    • Peas: 200 kg
    • Chickpeas: 400 kg
    • Oil: 1,000 l
  • Beneficiaries:
    • 500 residents and IDPs in 28 ecovillages

  • Benefited Ecovillages:
    • “Салинці”, “Казкове”, “Простір Любові”, “Ємельянівка”, “Радарія”, “Зелені Кручі”, “Живий Дім”, “Свячене”, “Озаріння”, “Світанкове”

Water Supply

  • Improved Locations:
    • “Бушанська Толока”, “Салинці”, “Велика родина”, “Поселення Майстрів”, “Рассвєт-Самара”, “Зелений Гай”, “Ємельянівка”, “Простір Любові”, “Жива Хата”, “Тепла Гора”, “Радарія”, “Озаріння”, “Щасливі люди”

Improvement of Shared Spaces

  • Enhanced Locations:
    • “Бушанська Толока”, “Новий Маяпур”, “Казкове”, “Тепла Гора”, “Радарія”, “Світанкове”, “Свячене”, “Чарівне”

Children’s Rooms

  • Equipped Locations:
    • “Бушанська Толока”, “Новий Маяпур”, “Рассвєт-Самара”, “Жива Хата”, “Зелені Кручі”, “Головківка”, “Свячене”, “Озаріння”, “Коло Лісу”

Legal and Accounting Support

  • Achievements:
    • 4 new NGOs created in winter
    • 10 FOPs, 5 NGOs, and 1 BF registered in the network during 2022-2024
