Green Road of Ecovillages - is a project of two NGOs, GEN Ukraine and ‘Permaculture in Ukraine’, that started already on the second day of the full-scale invasion, February 25 2022.

Community spaces - Community spaces of Ecovillage network in Ukraine. Today we have about 20 locations that need your support to thrive and expand their sustainable practices. These spaces serve as hubs for education, cultural exchange, and collaborative projects, fostering a sense of unity and resilience among residents. Additionally, we have dedicated areas for children and spaces for rehabilitation from the impacts of war. Your support will help enhance infrastructure, provide essential resources, and empower communities to implement regenerative solutions that benefit both people and the environment.

Bicycles for Ecovillages - Revitalizing Bike Workshops to Support IDPs and Eco-Villages in Ukraine involves the establishment of five dedicated bike workshops. These workshops focus on repairing and refurbishing bicycles donated from Denmark, converting them into electric bikes to meet the transportation needs of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and eco-villagers. Additionally, the workshops work on restoring used batteries, giving them a second life and ensuring sustainable energy use. By enhancing mobility and promoting green transportation, these bike workshops play a crucial role in supporting community resilience and environmental sustainability.

Regenerative lands project - Regenerative lands project from ecovillages in GEN Ukraine in war focuses on restoring ecosystems and lands damaged by shelling and pollution from munitions. In the face of drought and climate change, efforts include decontaminating soil, reintroducing native plants, and rebuilding habitats. Using bioremediation and community-driven stewardship, the project heals war-torn landscapes and provides essential resources, ensuring long-term ecological health and sustainability.

OffGrid Solutions from ecovillages in GEN Ukraine
are pioneering sustainable living practices that combine traditional knowledge with modern innovations. These solutions include renewable energy systems, such as solar panels and wind turbines, which provide clean and reliable power independent of the national grid. Additionally, water management techniques like rainwater harvesting and advanced filtration systems ensure a steady supply of potable water, while permaculture gardens and regenerative agriculture methods support local food production. By fostering resilience and self-sufficiency, these ecovillages serve as living laboratories and models for sustainable development in other regions affected by environmental and social challenges.
