Manual configuration for T-Beam v1.1

Hi. I'm new to embedded system and this might sound silly.
According to the documentation, the TTGO T-Beam v1.1 board is not pre-integrated, therefore you have to define the pin mapping. Do you also have to supply power to the radio module by using the PMU (AXP192) ? And do you have to initialize the SPI communication with the radio module ?
I heard that the TTGO LoRa32 V1 has the same wiring as the TTGO T-Beam v1.1, and that you can use it. However, I checked the getpinmap_ttgo_lora32_v1.cpp file and the pins aren't corresponding. Is it true that you can use it?

Is it possible to add a function that initializes AXP192 and supplies power to the radio transceiver, right before the do_send() and onEvent() functions ? (I would add it to my main file that contains the ttn-otaa.ino example, with the correct pin mappings for T-Beam v1.1).
