Using IPA adapter only in Refiner pass

I would like to know if it would be possible to implement the IPA adapter only to the second sampling process. In my worflow I use a first model for general composition because this model is quite strong, but the definition and final result is quite poor so I use a second model to refine the image. I would like to be able to use the IPA adapter only on the second model. As far I can tell the IPA model its only applied to the first model.
