Young people could be included in Metahit in parts / stages:

  1. They could be included in the injury distances in the same way as non-city residents are, through summary distances by demographic group. (cas and str in mh-distance/README table.) These would be included in the injury distances calculated at mh-distance/process_distances_for_execute.R and appended (or added) to the (re-processed) injury tables in mh-injury/add_distance_to_injury.R.

NB they would contribute to all cas distances and only bicycle and pedestrian strike distances.

It's simplest if their distances are fixed across scenarios.

Then young people would have an injury burden, but they would not have pa or inh burdens, and there would be no young person in the synthetic population

  1. Their motorised distances (mopeds) could be added to noise and emissions in a similar way

  2. To get to disease burdens for pa and inh for young people, they would need to be included in the synthetic population, which means they would need a census id and a non-travel amount of physical activity. Then there would need to be appropriate dose--response relationships: at present, those that have age groups start at age 20 or 25.
