Visual changes to Cards layout

Hello,

I'm brand new to PnP, I hope this is the right place to post my question.
 
I'm assembling a solution that enables users to search for sites linked to a specific hub using the query:

{searchTerms} RelatedHubSites:e745b025-6ba5*** contentclass:STS_Site

The results are displayed in the 'Cards' layout, but the aesthetics are not ideal. The image preview at the top remains empty (yellow), and the title appears twice, as shown in the screenshot.

My goal is to emulate the out-of-the-box Sites web part, with a splash of colour at the top, the site title, and additional site information below (I don't care about the site activity stuff).

Attempts to adjust the results template have been unsuccessful (or I just don't know which parts to edit), and while exploring the Create custom layouts documentation, I found no guidance on altering existing templates.

Any assistance or direction would be highly valued.
