dotnet run on a solution to run tests?

You can dotnet test on a solution to run its tests currently.

Is there a plan, or can you even do it now somehow, to run MTP tests via dotnet run ?

I have the same question, dotnet run is a great tool for a single project, but it does not scale when having 50 projects in a solution? What is the suggested best practice: should I add 50 dotnet run for all projects in a CI pipeline, or should I still use dotnet test with <TestingPlatformDotnetTestSupport>true</TestingPlatformDotnetTestSupport> in each project?

When using dotnet test - I understand that many parameters changed: loggers, test reports or coverage collection needs to be set differently as DataCollectors are no longer supported. Is there a migration guide available?

Is there a migration guide even with xunit.v3 while using the same MTP runner with coverage, reports etc.?

(EDIT: realizing @thomhurst is behind TUnit, I suppose this last question might be interesting to you, but from TUnit point view as well)

(EDIT2: personally, I think dotnet run is a nice way to "just run tests too", however dotnet test speaks to me more especially when I look at it from CI point of view, or just looking for docs of the command etc.)

Looking forward to it. So if I understand it is still pretty early stages? Does it worth waiting a couple of more weeks to migrate on larger projects?

The new platform is publicly available since Jan 2024 so it's pretty stable. The "problem" for our team is to catch up on all ecosystem + doc (size of the team issue).
