I'm struggling with setting up a shairport-sync server on ubuntu(with GUI) with output device as a Bluetooth speaker (Amazon Echo Gen2). I carefully followed instructions in Build and install shairplay-sync even this this tutorial.
As I am a level beginner to linux so I had feeded the .md file to chatgpt explaining me steps for the same after doing everything I could only reach to a point where my Airplay is discoverable (with airplay2 working) audio plays but the speaker doesn't.
The Bluetooth device is paired, connected, and plays audio, both from GUI and through aplay CLI command.
The airplay device is discoverable and connectable, but no audio stream comes through to the Bluetooth speaker.
somehow using --user setup I got the audio output through speaker running but the audio was not clear rather was playing as if someone was continuously pausing and playing the audio with the consistent breaks.
I am thinking to do a complete fresh install once again (5th time),
Could anyone please help me out with this? I'm still relatively new to Linux systems and might not have understood all the research I have done on that topic...
Let me know what kind of logs do you require to help me troubleshoot this issue.
Any help will really be appreciated I have been banging my head since a week atp and no luck.
