[Exhentai] How to stop gallery-dl from downloading duplicate galleries when they got updated?

Heya,

probably a stupid question but how can I stop gallery-dl from re-downloading the whole gallery whenever one got updated? It seems that the ID of the gallery changes, thus gallery-dl downloads the whole thing thinking it's a new one. Is there a way to just "incrementally" download it and keeping older files but not overwriting them?

No, that wouldn't really work, I don't think.
Archive IDs for an updated gallery are completely different from the original ones.

Maybe you could somehow use the parent metadata, but that doesn't really work for galleries with more than one parent.
