replacing native interactive functions call with consult counterparts.

Hello there,

In the breadcrumbs package the function breadcrumb-imenu-crumbs is used in the mode line to display bread crumb. It also has a binding on mouse-1 button to open imenu.

I have tried the below config to map all interactive imenu calls to consult-imenu but none of the ways resulted in switch of the mouse click imenu call to consult-imenu.

Expected behavior :-
on clicking the bread crumb it open consult-imenu instead of inbuild imenu.

Question :-

1. Why is the :override advice not working as expected ?
2. How to get the desired behavior ?

Current progress:-
After reading some breadcrumb code it seems like I had the wrong idea imenu is just the source of the information and then breadcrumb defines a custom command breadcrumb-jump to do the completion jump ui over the symbols. imenu interactive command is never called in breadcrumb.

The above code just changes the imenu interactive function to consult-imenu. The hacky work around way of doing this might be to override the breadcrumb-jump function with the consult-imenu command. (example below)

PS :-
I am barely know any elisp so I might be doing completely unconventional and in the worst way possible. I would love if anyone could provide a more robust and proper way of doing this.
