Currently, the hints only display in the most recently loaded stronghold.
Ideally, the hints should display in every stronghold.

The main reason a user would want this feature would be if they were to click "review mistakes" after leaving the stronghold whose mistakes they are reviewing. As such, it may be acceptable to only display hints for the strongholds loaded that session, but ideally it works no matter what.
