Works with SG10RS

Hi all, just wanted to confirm this works with SG10RS with winet S, without the modbus port . I'm connected through the winet S dongle. it would be handy if the instructions were updated as i didn't attempt it 2 weeks ago due to my inverter not having the modbus port. Wish I had tried as it would have saved me a lot of unnecessary stress. The only difference i did was using this shortened file found at https://gist.github.com/nickw444/9a048bc5b6d36f00c869458121c19e86. I’ll be happy share my file as well with notes in them (if needed) Use the total import and total export sensors in energy integration. To get daily info. Thanks to @mkaiser and everyone involved.

Did you connect throught winet S wifi? if yes how did you define username and passwd? thanks

WiNet-S default logins are:
user / pw1111
admin / pw8888

this is my secrets.yaml:
sungrow_modbus_host_ip: 192.168.0.24 # TODO update with the IP of your inverter. No default. Check your router.
sungrow_modbus_port: 502 # TODO update with the Modbus port of your inverter. Default is '502'
sungrow_modbus_slave: 1 #TODO update with the slave address of your inverter. Default is '1'

Sorry, I misread what you were asking.
Modbus does not use any credentials, so there is nothing to put into secrets.yaml in that regard.

Thanks for this! it does works, but cannot figure out how to get the value for the Grid import for 24 hours. I can see the current usage, also, don't know how to do the Energy Dashboard.

can someone shed some light on how to get the grid consumtion? thanks a lot.

Look in the dashboard for that entity and ensure it hadnt renamed itself to a "_2" after the entity name. That has happend for me for some sensors. Since Im lazy i have just changed to the "_2" entity instead to get values in dashboard.

For the energy dashboard, input the total import and export number. It would get the daily usage from deduction the total out of the new figure every hour. If you like to display this in your dash, have to do a template.

thanks all, appreciate the help on this. did not really use the total as i did not think that HA will just calculate it.

will need to venture now to check on how to integrate this on a different dashboard!
