Error executing script - input_number.set_sg_battery_max_charge_power

Hi,
I am using the lastest version of the sungrow integration (last update: 2024-11-02) on my HA:
Core 2024.11.2, Supervisor 2024.11.2, Operating System 13.2, Frontend 20241106.2

Can someone help to understand the follow error messages from Home Assistent protocol?:

sungrow inverter update battery max charge power input slider update: Error executing script. Invalid data for call_service at pos 1: Invalid value for input_number.set_sg_battery_max_charge_power: 10600.0 (range 100.0 - 5000.0)

sungrow inverter update battery max discharge power input slider update: Error executing script. Invalid data for call_service at pos 1: Invalid value for input_number.set_sg_battery_max_discharge_power: 10600.0 (range 100.0 - 5000.0)

Your max charge power and max discharge power are currently set to values higher than the limits in modbus_sungrow.yaml. Change the limits and the error will go away:

Also, what kind of battery do you have?
If it's a Sungrow SBR series, then 10.6 kW is not a good fit for any of the models. It should be 30 A * minimum operating voltage (check the datasheet / manual). So, 4.5 kW for SBR096, 6.0 kW for SBR128, 7.5 kW for SBR160, 9 kW for SBR192, 10.5 kW for SBR224, 12 kW for SBR256. Of course, you might have a totally different battery. :-D

If you change the value, you can then change the limits to match it, as well.

Good point that we are trying to figure it out :-)

After reading in some forums it seems that these values are just the max charge / discharge values from the inverter and only affect the real charge / discharge power if the battery is capable to do more (means then this values will limit the charge / discharge power to the inverts capabilities). The "real" needed values are arrange between the batteries BMS and the inverter -> BMS tells the inverter how much the battery can handle.

My proposal to fix the error in Home Assistant is to set the max charge and discharge values in the yaml file to the maximum value of the biggest Sungrow inverter supported by this integration.
As these values in the yaml file only represent a max value of a range of values it will not do any harm.

Are you sure about that or have any sources you can link to?
The installer's training does not explicitly mention this as dangerous but it strongly recommends setting this to values appropriate for the battery.

I read it in a forum.
But we should not mix topics.
The max values to be defined in the integration yaml file are not the settings of the charge or discharge value of the inverter, but just the range maximum which the integration will allow to set. So my proposal from my last post will do no harm at all.

Agreed, setting low limits merely protects those who would otherwise set bad values for these parameters. I would suggest using mode: box on the relevant input elements (on dashboards) to reduce the likelihood of accidentally changing the values (that would be a good idea for many settings this integration offers, to be honest).

What is the largest value any of the compatible inverters supports?
It's probably from the SH25T?
Must be a hybrid inverter and I think that's the biggest one?
