Fails to start on Mint 22

I only see this screen without a shell prompt.

Not sure what the problem is. Could you try running ghostty from another (non-ghostty) terminal to see if it produces any output when starting up?

Are you maybe running under Wayland?
The default is X11 and that seems to work fine (tested both Mint 22 and Mint 22.1)
