Contribution Guidelines

Jumping into a new project can be hard and intimidating. This document is designed to help you understand the community and how to interact.

What is this repository about?

Open data is data that is made freely and easily available to anyone to use, re-use and distribute.

Mozilla Science Lab is dedicated to encouraging the use of open practices and web technologies to do better science. We believe open data is essential to maximizing the potential of research. This repository is designed to be a central portal for access to resources and curricular materials around open data.

How do I contribute?

  1. Please introduce yourself and join the conversation through Gitter
  2. Submit an issue with your correction for an error in the documents, a question about the materials, or a suggestion for a resource to be included in the repository.
  • Go to Issues and click the green "New Issue" button.
  • If you are new to the repository, click on issues w/ the 1st issues label.
    These are issues we've identified as good things to work on as your first collaboration with the repository.
  • If you are submitting a suggestion, label the issue w/ the suggestions label
  • If you are submitting a question, label the issue w/ the question label
  • If you are submitting a correction, label the issue w/ the bug label
  • Use the Modules and Primers labels for issues related to those two types of resources.
