I hope he is ok, for those having issues, downgrade to 2.6 and it works for now, however, I strongly suggest start thinking about moving to a different brand that natively support RTSP.

Camera firmware 4.61.0.3 , the last rtsp firmware still works and keeps your camera online when you lose internet connectivity / to a certain degree.

I'm hoping everything is OK and this is just a temporary, and well-deserved break, as opposed to a health/family/etc., related issue.

@mrlt8 is very much alive - there are recent updates on docker hub.

Hoping for an update soon, latest Wyze cam FW broke this project, and its value for worthwhile surveillance.
After this, I'll certainly cease buying any more Wyze, and invest in Reolink RTSP PoE's instead.

It's just too unreliable for any kind of surveillance, I have it on a cron to reboot every 2hrs because of its instability, very sad. Really enjoyed using it over the years (when it worked better), and when my 20+ cam feeds were up.

Agree. I was on orig db cam beta and what I experienced showed me wyze is just a marketing hype machine that lives off the social media fans they've cultivated. Only by their prior openness to 3rd party solutions have they flourished. But by closing up and adding difficulty to development, I suspect they will lose more than gain via anyone switching to their subscriptions since those subscriptions still fail to provide a route to hksv.

@superdong69 have you looked into Reolink door bell? it has native RTSP so should work fine with Frigate.
As others mentioned, I am also in the process of moving away from WYZE.

@superdong69 where are you located? here in Canada WYZE doorbell actually costs more than Reolink. Not to mention Reolink regularly go on sale, I got mine in December (Boxing day) on sale for $69.99 CAD.

@Raul-7-7 I used to have the WYZE doorbell and a lot of their cameras and switched everything over to Reolink. E1-Zooms are solid and the doorbell is fantastic. It has a nice click to the button and feels much more premium, runs over wifi or POE. Reolink has a built-in integration for the cammers and works very nicely in Frigate. Their native app is nice and the cameras have a ton of settings to customize.
Compared to Reolink WYZE now feels cheap and scrappy, and it shows in the lockdown-and-try-to-milk-every-penny approach they keep taking in their software and new hardware. They make it cheap, sell it cheap, and nail you everywhere else. I have kept some of my Wyze cams in use and they have been plagued with reboots, dropping out, and self-corrupting their SD cards. I had so much hope for their company as a low-cost competitive all-in-one IOT seller but their lightswitch sucks, (Kasa switches have loads of configs and features), the plugs suck, (Thirdreality or Kasa plugs again have more options and features), and the cameras are meh. I ABSOLUTELY love the doorlock tho nothing on the market is quite as good.
