I have A number of power line adapters I use in my home.

All the AV2000 adapters.

I've been using these for ~5 years 24/7 with great results. 6 of them in total.

Anyways, I wanted to run my IBM Model 30 - 8086 system off one.

I tried two network ISA cards and XIRCOM PE3-10BT, but none would obtain an IP address with the power line adapter.

I thought ok... maybe 10T not happy with these.

So I plugged in A network switch to run off the PL adapter which worked fine with other devices.

But again my poor old IBM would not get an IP.

And yes, replaced network cables and such.

I ponder if some kind of odd timing issue being 10T ? My hope was the network switch would eat the traffic issues but did not.

Currently, using the Sergey Kiselev 8bit network card he offers which is just ran directly off a regular network switch setup.

No powerline adapter involved. And works fine that way.

Just odd is all and got me pondering if anything I could do to make it work.
