Currently this project is built against .NET 4.5.
If instead it was built against .NET 4 then it would be compatible with Windows Server 2003 / Windows XP - with as far as I can see no changes needed / other consequences.

My fork contains builds for .NET 2.0, .NET 3.5 and .NET 4 (the latter two in Client Profile).
