Need for Speed: Underground only detected as "CUSTOM GAME"

Need for Speed: Underground is not detected in Windows 10 under the "C:\ProgramData" folder, only adding it as a "custom game" and using the option to "Extend" the manifest makes it visible in the list:

That's quite strange. Based on the manifest, it looks like it should have been able to find it.

Could you please try a test?

• Open Command Prompt
• Run: C:\path\to\ludusavi.exe --debug --config "%USERPROFILE%\ludusavi-test-581" backup --preview "Need for Speed: Underground"
• In the folder that opens, take ludusavi_debug.log and upload it here (you may want to replace your username and other IDs in paths, and/or you can email it to me at mtkennerly@gmail.com if you prefer not to post it publically)

You can delete the %USERPROFILE%\ludusavi-test-581 folder afterwards.

Thanks for the help, i have uploaded the log file, your command only works for cmd.exe, the powershell equivalent would be:

ludusavi.exe --debug --config "$env:USERPROFILE\ludusavi-test-581" backup --preview "Need for Speed: Underground"

Interesting! With that test using all the default Ludusavi settings, it was able to find your saves:

So I guess there must be something in your regular settings that's somehow keeping it from finding the game.

Could you please try disabling the custom game and then running:

C:\path\to\ludusavi.exe --debug backup --preview "Need for Speed: Underground"

...and then upload the new ludusavi_debug.log? This will use your regular Ludusavi settings so we can compare the two logs.

Removed the custom game through the GUI, the command outputs the following:

Hmm, so it is finding the folder, but it thinks that you've unchecked the checkbox next to C:/ProgramData/NFS Underground in the scan list. Can you please double check one more time that it's not showing up in the GUI at all? If it's in the CLI output, then it should be in the GUI output as well.

If it's still not showing up, then close Ludusavi, open your %APPDATA%\ludusavi\config.yaml in Notepad, and there should be a part that looks like this:

  toggledPaths:
    "Need for Speed: Underground":
      "C:/ProgramData/NFS Underground": false

Replace it with:

  toggledPaths: {}

And then try running a new scan in the GUI.
