Stream audio from mumble to Chromecast

Hi. I am currently running a home assistant server which allows me to play TTS messages on my google speakers.
I was looking to upgrade my system and allow me to make live pages from my smartphone or some IP microphone to the speakers, but so far I haven't found any ways to do this.
Is there some way to stream audio from a channel to the speakers? This would seem like the easiest solution for me. I currently have a raspberry pi with docker at my disposal. I don't have any experience with using mumble or any other VoIP solutions.

Well... if you somehow install a Mumble client onto your speaker and make it join (or listen to) that channel.
Not sure if a VoIP program is really what you're after though 🤔

Unfortunately, this is not possible.
The speaker needs an HTTP audio stream to play. I can tell it to play that stream and that's all.
So my idea was to somehow stream audio from a channel to the speakers.

Something like that is certainly possible but Mumble is not made for that. If you want the audio from Mumble specifically, you would have to write a custom plugin that grabs the audio stream from Mumble and then does the HTTP streaming itself.

I would be possible to caputure audio with obs or something simular but to alot of program can make a stream.
I run a OBS in a VM it plays music and video etc. and can I have a mumble client so when somebody is speaking on the chanal it lowers the music while they speak - the users on mumble does not hear the music but this just allows to listen on much from a free radio station and the streaming is done with datarhei restreamer that can be installed as docker image - I think i can also show a static picture so only audio stream is needed - infact I dont think you need obs if you only whats to transmit audio stream maybe this can be done using pipewire/pulsadio so you can check what is possible bot i does have a player you can embed in a iframe on a website - we do this on ddrnet.dk but streamning a latenezy but the player can do cromecast also (my setup) is wrong so this part does not work for me because of wrong configuration but this can be a way to get mumble audio to go out via http / hls stream that can be played on chromecast but even using srt its slow else you can look on mumble-www and do cromecast to local device from the browser this would possible be with a lower latenzy.
obs is used on ddrnet.dk livestream from a mumble client capture.

So I found this solution https://pypi.org/project/mumbleice/
It streams the audio to an icecast server and then I can simply play the stream in the speaker. But there is a very significant delay in the transport. I don't think it is possible to decrease that delay...

So from my findings, if you initiate the playback (via home assistant) and then after approximately three seconds send a play command, the delay will be reduced by about 10 seconds. This works consistently for now, so this is the solution for me.
