Textbox text color too dark

When trying to type into the chat box, the text in the input field where I type is too dark and I can barely see what I am typing. Would like to have brighter text.

What I see when I type a reply to the chat:

Is this on chat.google or mail.google @ExploreLearnMake ?

I wanted to note that it appears that this is a min-width issue. If I make the chat pop-out wider, then the textbox appears and I can easily read the text there. If the pop-out is too narrow, the icons that appear in the textbox disappear and the styling for the textbox changes.
