# Notes for getting this to work on Intel Arc (so far)

# Set /usr/bin/python3 to point to Intel python3.9
(I have not had success with the latest pytorch+xpu unless using the Intel python distribution)

sudo update-alternatives --install /usr/bin/python3 python3 /opt/intel/oneapi/intelpython/python3.9/bin/python3.9 1

# Install pytorch+xpu

TORCH_COMMAND=pip install pillow mkl torch==1.13.0a0 torchvision==0.14.1a0 intel_extension_for_pytorch==1.13.10+xpu -f https://developer.intel.com/ipex-whl-stable-xpu-idp

If that returns false, your system isn't configured right. Fix that first!
