[BUG] opsgenie integration creating alerts without Responder

I have integrated with ops genie and the alerts are being created within jira but do not seem to assign to any responder if configured from the Web UI.

It seems that if configured on the netdata agent this works as expected.

Netdata offers two distinct methods to integrate with Opsgenie:

• Cloud integration: Uses a generic API integration in Opsgenie (configurable through the web UI)
• Agent integration: uses a custom Netdata-specific integration in Opsgenie (configurable by editing the configuration file health_alarm_notify.conf in your agent)

You can find detailed configuration steps in our documentation about how to set up the cloud integration and the agent integration

Important note about responders: When configuring through the web UI (cloud), alerts are automatically assigned to the API key owner's team.

Example Setup

For instance, here I'm creating a new integration for my "DevOps" team in Opsgenie:

Then, I Configure the integration in the Netdata UI, adding the API Key for my Opsgenie integration:

Clicking on the "Test" button it will send a test notification. I can verify that the notification received has been assigned to the "Devops" team:

Thank you for this information. I have set this up according th the instructions provided but seemingly getting a different result.

in my Integration i have the team assigned:

as you can see the notification is coming through with no responder set:

Any ideas what the issue could be - if i configure using the agent with the same api key the notifications are assigned correctly

Hmm, that's weird @bradleyh-ccl

When creating an alert, Netdata does not set the 'responders' field, so according to the Opsgenie documentation, the assigned team should be the owner of the API key:

I'm not familiar with Opsgenie nomenclature, but is it possible the API key you're using does not belong to a team integration?

I'd suggest checking directly with Opsgenie in order to find out why the automatic responders assignemnt is not being applied in this case.

Just on with atlassian support and it appears that the cloud integration is registering as being created by the Default API not the Netdata integration and this is what is causing the issue.

I have noticed that on the agent integrations the API is listed as:

however on the web integration the API is listed as default API:

yes, as I mentioned in my first message, the cloud integration is using the default API integration.

You need to select the API integration:

the API integration allows you to set the team that should be assigned to all alerts created:
